Happy International Women's Day!

Today, March 8, 2013, is International Women’s Day. It’s a holiday that celebrates the accomplishments of women all over the world and throughout the centuries. According to research, the first International Women’s Day occurred on March 19 in 1911, and was moved to March 8 in 1913.
Here at Dove, Inc., we’ve honored women by naming domestic violence shelter client rooms after ten women who’ve made a difference in the world:
1.      Anna Waters

2.      Harriet Tubman

3.      Susan B. Anthony

4.      Elizabeth C. Stanton

5.      Marie G. Baker

6.      Susan Hagaman

7.      Dorothy Day

8.      Sojurner Truth

9.      Rose L. Parks

10.   Alice Paul

“have you talked to a trained domestic violence advocate?"

Have you ever had a victim of domestic violence try and open-up to you about their abuse and you not know what to say or how to handle it?...
